National Day of Prayer

There will be a gathering at noon Thursday around the flagpole at Eudora City Hall, 4 E. 7th St., and then at 6:30 p.m. at the gazebo on Main St. in observance of the 57th Annual National Day of Prayer.
The Eudora First Southern Baptist Church also will be open at midnight Wednesday and throughout Thursday for 24 hours of prayer.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
