St. Theresa Society Auction

The Holy Family Church’s St. Theresa Society invites women throughout the community to attend their annual Holiday Auction at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Parish Hall, Ninth and Birch Streets. Refreshments will be served and several holiday packages will be bid on.
All proceeds will go to the Holy Family Catholic Church.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
