Eudora Parks and Recreation will have a babysitting certification clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Eudora Community Center, 1630 Elm St. The clinic will teach CPR, first aid and how to respond to an emergency. The class is intended for ages 9 to 12 and costs $30. Please bring a sack lunch. Register at the community center by Feb. 11.

¢ Eudora Parks and Recreation will present their first-ever money management program with the help of City Councilman Jeff Petersen, who works with Edward Jones Investments . The Banking and Investing program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 28, and will run for six weeks. The price is five dollars.

¢ Eudora Parks and Recreation will have a "No School Play Day" Feb. 18. The cost is $20 per child. Parents are asked to provide a sack lunch.

¢ Eudora Parks and Recreation is now taking registrations for youth recreational soccer. This is a Spring league that follows up the 2007 fall season. Parents are encouraged to let EP&R know what team their children were on last fall. Price is $30 and registration forms are available at the Eudora Community Center, 1630 Elm St. For more information, call Jimmy at 542-1725.

¢ The EP&R Spring and Summer Program Guide is nearing completion. If a business or other organization would like to advertise in the guide, they should contact Jimmy or Tammy at 542-1725, or stop by the offices at 1630 Elm St.

¢ EP&R is looking for donations from the community to go towards the aftercare program and upcoming summer camp. Suggestions include: crafts supplies, scholarships for families and children in need, monetary donations and unopened food items.

¢ Those who would like to be placed on a recreation bulletin mailing list are asked to e-mail the recreation department at with basic contact information. Those who sign up for the mailing list will be alerted about upcoming programs.
