EHS to have blood drive

The Eudora High School Student Council will have a blood drive, conducted by Community Blood Center, from 2 to 6 p.m. Feb. 28 in the commons area at the high school, 2203 Church St., Eudora.
Those planning to donate are asked to eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to donation, and bring photo identification. Cholesterol testing will be performed on all units of blood collected. In addition, each donor will be given a T-shirt.
Registrations will be taken online at www.savealifenow.org, or by calling the high school at 542-4986. Walk-ins also are welcome.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
