Drop-off site hours

The city crews will no longer pick up discarded Christmas trees.
The Christmas tree drop-off site is located at the city's brush facility, which is north on Main Street, 200 yards past the railroad tracks.
Make a right turn just before the Wakarusa bridge and follow the road east to the drop-off site. The hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
