Historical society meeting set
January 9, 2008
The January meeting of the Eudora Historical Society will be at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at Eudora City Hall, 4 East Seventh St.
Officers for 2008 will be installed.
Phyllis Young will give the program about working in the family filling station in Eudora.
A door prize and refreshments will be available. The community is invited to attend.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
