Newspaper rates to rise for delivery
The Eudora News will increase its subscription rates effective Jan. 10, Christopher J. Bell, the newspaper's circulation manager said Monday.
The yearly rate for a subscription will increase to $37 plus tax per year in Douglas, Johnson, Leavenworth and Wyandotte counties. Elsewhere in Kansas will increase to $55 plus tax per year. Outside the state of Kansas, subscription prices will increase to $60 per year.
The increase is the first since 2002.
The rate increase will take effect upon a customer's renewal date.
"The subscription increase is needed for us to keep pace with the rising cost of postage, newsprint, ink and fuel prices," Bell said.
