EMT-Basic initial course offered

Eudora community EMS and Douglas County will be sponsoring an EMT-Basic initial course from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursdays at Eudora City Hall, 4 East Seventh St., in Eudora. Classes will start Jan. 26 and the final exam will be March 6.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
