Scholar’s Bowl team wins league title

The Eudora High School Scholar's Bowl team of Dustin True, JoAnna Male, Jacob Cox, Taylor Johnson and Josh Bakarich took the League Champion Title Jan. 9 at Gardner. Their round robin record was 6-1. Two of the wins came on tie-breaking questions.
The team defeated Gardner 60-50, Spring Hill 60-30, Baldwin 90-20, Louisburg 15-10, De Soto 65-20, and Paola 60-50.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
