The Eudora gymnasium holds between 1,800 and 2,000 people. By my estimation, at both the girls and boys basketball games Monday and Tuesday night, about one-fourth of the seats were filled. That seems to be the norm this winter.

The Eudora eighth-grade varsity basketball team lost Monday night, falling to Spring Hill 34-12. The Cardinals played good defense throughout the game to keep it c lose, but couldn’t generate enough offense to make a run late in the game.

It was rocky-going throughout the first three quarters of Eudora’s Tuesday home game against Metro Academy. A strong fourth quarter vaulted the Cardinals past the Mavericks, 44-42, however, giving Eudora a two-game winning streak heading into its road clash Friday with Louisburg.
