Abel Family reunion

The descendants of George and Katherine Abel will gather for a basket dinner at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Nottingham Elementary School, 1428 Elm St.
Drinks, rolls and butter will be provided. Organizers ask that attendees bring family news and pictures to share.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
