EUMC events

On Saturday a group from the Eudora United Methodist Church will be having a workday near Horton at the Indian United Methodist Church. Their Church building needs ceiling and wall repair as well as painting. It also needs some fixtures and other items that may be donated. For more information call Kay Byrne at 542-3392
¢ Bob Morley will perform at the EUMC at 7 p.m. Sunday. He is a graduate of Eudora and will play a mix of his own songs and other Christian music.
At one time, Bob, an ordained Methodist Preacher, traveled across the country playing his music. The community is invited to come and enjoy this free concert.
¢ EUMC continues its Christian Classics Book Club reading the book "The Return of the Prodigal Son" by Henry Nouwen. The book can be purchased at the church office.
The book club is open to the public. Call the church office for book club meeting times at 542-3200.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
