College notes

Gregg Webb, Eudora, received a Master of Science and Layci Kuder, Linwood, graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Emporia State University during commencement exercises May 17.
Chad Brown, Linwood, also received a Master of Science.
¢ Kansas State University had its commencement exercises May 16-17 in Manhattan.
Eudora students receiving undergraduate degrees were Dustin Kramer, Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering; Derek Ogan, Bachelor of Science in education; and Austin Roberts, Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering.
¢ Robyn Keiter graduated May 17 with honors from the University of Colorado Denver, School of Business with a degree in business. Robyn, who now lives in Denver, is a 1995 Eudora graduate and is the daughter of Diane and Kenny Massey of Eudora.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
