Scouting News

Joseph Walker, 15, has earned the Eagle Scout Award. His Eagle Court of Honor will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Eudora United Methodist Church. Joseph is a member of Boy Scout Troop 64. His scoutmaster is Glenn Jackson. His Eagle project was restoring the Delaware Cemetery in Leavenworth County. Under Joseph's leadership, the scouts landscaped and painted, removed branches and leaves, and repaired the gates.

Other scouting activities include Camp Naish, Northern Tier Canoe Base, Camp Bartle, Brownsea National Youth Leadership Training, Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, and Senior Patrol Leader of Troop 64; other activities include Scholars Bowl.

He is the son of Paul Walker, Eudora, and Amanda Holeman, King City, Mo.
