Volunteer information fair

There will be a volunteer information fair from 3 to 6 p.m. April 29 at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont. 40 local community organizations will be represented at the fair. The event is free to the public and is part of National Volunteer Week, which is from April 27 to May 3.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
