Baseball gets off to 0-2 start

March 27, 2008

Errors and an inability to find any rhythm at the plate doomed Eudora Thursday night. The Cardinals dropped both games of their doubleheader with the Trailblazers, 5-1 and 5-0.

In game one, coach Shaun Edmondson's team failed to make routine plays and ruined what Edmondson said was a great outing from senior pitcher Brian White.

"He was lights out," Edmondson said. "He was as good as he possibly could have been, and I don't think one of those runs he gave up was earned."

The Cardinals failed to do any better in the field in game two and the Trailblazers capitalized by taking a quick 3-0 lead. Edmondson said there's a lot his team can learn from the losses but they'll have to learn quick as Paola comes to Eudora for a doubleheader on April 1.
