Pool sign-ups

Eudora Parks and Recreation will have a registration fair for the upcoming summer aquatics season from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 10.
This includes pool party reservations, swimming lessons and etc. EP&R reminds that time slots and lessons will fill quickly and it is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact Tammy Hodges at 542-1725 for more information.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
