Community Center update
Children enjoy the pool Sunday at the Eudora Aquatic Center. Opening day for the aquatic center was Saturday.
The Eudora Parks and Recreation Spring and Summer Guide now is available.
Copies can be picked up at select businesses throughout Eudora or by visiting the community center, which is located at 1630 Elm St. The guide also may be viewed off of the EP&R website,
www.eudorapr.org.
¢ For children ages 3-5 who are interested in beginning baseball, EP&R is offering Blastball in May and July. Registrations are being taken right now at the community center for the popular program, which takes elements of baseball and is adjusted for small children. The cost is $25.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
