The eighth grade girls J.V. basketball team went on the road for the first time Monday and took on Lexington Trails.

After leading for the majority of the game, Lexington Trails managed to tie the score at the end of regulation. The opposition's momentum proved to be too much for the Cardinals and Eudora lost 20-15 in overtime. The J.V. squad will be on the road again Monday and Tuesday to take on Tonganoxie and Monticello Trails.

The eighth grade girls varsity basketball team took on Wellsville Monday night. The Eagles took a 28-8 first half lead on the Cardinals but Eudora fought back in the second half and outscored the Eagles 15-12.

However, the Eagles lead was too much and the Cardinals could not come away with the win. Eudora will face either Spring Hill or Baldwin on Thursday to finish out the Wellsville tournament.
