The Eudora seventh grade volleyball squad competed in the JV tournament Saturday. In the first match, Eudora lost to Gardner Pioneer Ridge (19-25, 25-13, 10-15). In the contest, Logan Jackson served 13 straight times.

In Eudora’s second match of the day, the Cardinals were bested by Spring Hill (15-25, 23-25). And in the third match Eudora lost to Gardner Wheatridge (17-25, 11-25).

Monday night was the eighth grade varsity volleyball team’s last regular season game. The Cardinals swept the Ottawa Whirlwinds in both matches.

Scores for match one were (25-18, 25-12). And Eudora beat Ottawa (25-19, 25-21) in the second match.

Top servers were Kristen Dennis and McKenzie Oller.

The eighth grade varsity will play at 9 a.m. Saturday in the league tournament.

The Eudora Middle School cross country team ran Saturday at Baldwin. Kelsey Balluch came in 24th at 7:00 and Victoria Searight finished in 26th two seconds later for the girls.

For the boys squad, Luis Avila finished 26th at 6:26 and Dalton Strickell finished two seconds behind him at 28th. Shawn Burns finished 33rd, Devon Middleton finished 60th and teammate Matt Jones came in 77th.
