Crop night planned

Eudora’s local community service sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, will have a crop night from 6 to 11 p.m. Nov. 7 at Eudora Middle School, 2635 Church St.

The crop night is for seasoned scrapbookers or beginners. There is a $10 charge if participants bring items to donate to the Eudora Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry. Otherwise the fee is $12, which includes snacks, drinks and prizes.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?

As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
