Troop 64 of Eudora enjoyed the Pelathe District Fall Camporee on Oct. 17 through 19, camping at Camp Bromelsick west of Lawrence.
The scouts worked on requirements for the First Aid merit badge and participating in the short-wave radio Jamboree On The Air.
Scouts attending included Nathan Gentleman, Connor Bradley, Nathan Bradley, Chance Hamm, and Patrick Bradley. Scouters helping were Damon Bradley, Duane Gentleman, Glenn Jackson, and John Scott. Elizabeth Bradley visited the troop. Troop 64 is chartered to the Eudora Lions Club.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
