JV baseball, softball rained out

Eudora’s junior varsity softball and baseball games against Ottawa were canceled Tuesday because of wet weather. No makeup dates have been announced.

JV baseball sweeps Bonner

The Eudora JV baseball team swept Bonner Springs, 11-1 and 16-2, Friday in Eudora. Sophomore Boomer Mays hit a grand slam in the second game.

Eudora Parks and Rec to hold free baseball competition

Eudora Parks and Recreation will host a free Aquafina Major League Baseball pitch, hit and run competition for local youth at 2 p.m. May 3 at the Jr. Babe Ruth Field.

Attendees will be divided into four age groups ranging from ages 7 to 14. Participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and fill out a registration/waiver form prior to the event. For more, contact Jim Kegin at 542-1725.
