The Eudora chapter of community service sorority Beta Sigma Phi will have its holiday auction at 2 p.m. Sunday at Eudora Middle School. Chapter member Sherri Proffitt discusses the purpose of the sorority and what it means to give.

Adult men’s basketball is scheduled for Wednesday evenings in January. Team registrations only with a deadline of Dec. 18. Price per team is $250.

Eudora Lions Club will again have food baskets for needy families as in past years. The Lions also will have the Angel Trees, which provide presents for needy children.

There will be several ways this weekend to welcome the holiday season.
The events kick off Saturday when Eudora Chamber of Commerce will have its holiday homes tour and the Eudora Holiday Extravaganza.
The Eudora Historical Society will have its Holiday Homes tour Sunday.

There will be a German Christmas Celebration from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 12, at the Clearfield United Methodist Church, E. 597 2200 Rd., which is 7 miles south of Eudora on County Road 1061.
