Q. How long have you lived in Eudora, and what brought you here?
A. I’ve been here since 1981 and I came here because I knew that if I was going to live in Kansas, I wanted to live in northeast Kansas where there was lots of opportunity and culture.
Q. What is the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
A. I went on a blind date on Long Island.
Q. What is the best advice you’ve ever been given?
A. Always be true to yourself.
Q. What are three things people should know about you?
A. I love my friends and family, I love to dance and I love to travel.
Q. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A. I always wanted to be a teacher.
Q. What’s your ideal vacation spot?
A. Anyplace that has great people and good food.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
