New format mix of old, new
As you read this week’s edition of The Eudora News, you are reminded again that change is inevitable.
With this week’s issue, the newspaper is now a tab-sized publication. The change obviously has cost-saving implications, but we would assure you that everything you found in past issues of the paper can be found in this week’s pages. In fact, readers will find new features meant to build bridges of community, such as the Neighbors and editorial page points of view, and a 5 questions feature that gives readers a quick summary of a current community concern.
In addition, the paper has added a seven-day weather outlook, which compliments a growing weather presence on the newspaper’s Web site, which now includes twice-a-day commuter forecast.
The Our Town photo gallery will continue the newspaper’s longstanding tradition of running photographs on the former Living page.
The new format and size are designed to make the paper easier to read. Surveys have told us readers enjoy the compact design, which they find easier to handle and navigate.
We here with the newspaper are excited about changes and the fresh way they allow us to approach our weekly assignments.
There is much to report in the immediate future, and we assure you the new format will be big enough to cover it all.
