Basketball

The Eudora boys junior varsity squad beat Louisburg last Friday night at home, 43-34.

Coulter Vestal had 16 points, Joel Lauer added six points and nine rebounds and J.T. Sellers had five points and six rebounds. The JV boys are now 7-4 on the season. The JV squad will play Friday at Gardner.

The Eudora girls junior varsity squad lost to Louisburg, 41-33, last Friday at home.

Katie Slavin scored 12 points and Madison Oller had eight to lead the Cardinals. Eudora also took fourth-place last weekend at the Eudora JV Tournament. Next up for the girls is a road contest Friday at Gardner.

Youth soccer

Haleigh Pippert, an eighth-grader at Eudora Middle School, is a team member of the KV Force U-13 team that will be participating in the Super F National Futsal Champions Cup this weekend in Shawnee.

The team won the championship of its age division in the Kansas City Super F Futsal League. Team members are Amanda Schaller, Bailey Sullivan, Sarah Whipple, Addison Campbell, Danielle Campbell, Jessica Ferguson, Alex Ewy, Karissa Aldrich, Haleigh Pippert, Brett Watson, Annie Hierl, Gretchen Hierl, Sadie Keller and Hannah Heline. The team is coached by Riny de Boer.
