Financial classes offered

Hesper Friends Church, 2355 North 1100 Road, at 6:30 p.m. March 4 will begin a 13-week course called Financial Peace University.
The course teaches families and individuals how to handle their money using common-sense principles and small-group accountability.
There will be free preview classes at 6:30 p.m. on March 1, 4 and 8. There is a charge for the materials for the class, but they will be offered at a discounted rate.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
