Eudora boys get a win

The Eudora junior varsity boys basketball team took on St. James Tuesday at Eudora. Behind 11 points from J.T. Sellers and nine points from Coulter Vestal, the Cardinals beat the Thunder, 61-35.

The squad traveled to Atchison on Monday and won, 59-43. The Cardinals played on only two days rest, as it played Friday at Gardner and lost, 62-45.

Next up for the Cardinals is the Eudora JV Tournament Saturday at Eudora. The Cardinals will then close out the regular season with two games next week. The first is against Ottawa on Tuesday at home and the other is a road contest Friday at Spring Hill.

JV girls drop two

The Eudora girls junior varsity squad lost to Gardner Friday on the road and lost to St. James on Tuesday at home. Sandwiched in-between, the girls defeated Atchison on the road Monday, 59-21.

Against St. James, Sydney Schmille and Molly Brunton led the Cardinals in scoring, tallying seven points apiece. Like the boys, the girls will close out their regular season next week against Ottawa at home on Tuesday and Friday at Spring Hill.
