Lansing trumps Eudora for championship

The Eudora High girls got cold in the second half of the Tonganoxie Invitational championship game Saturday evening and Lansing took advantage for a 47-37 victory.
After hitting 46 percent of their shots in the first two quarters, taking a three-point lead into halftime, the Cardinals (9-2) went 4-for-16 from the floor, 3-for-8 from the foul line and scored just 12 second-half points.
Eudora’s Bailey Scott hit two threes and led all scorers with 17 points. Her teammate Haley Epperson got into some foul trouble in the second half and was held to nine points.
Lansing (8-3) had three players score in double figures as Alexis Ellis contributed 12, sub Allison Ewing added 11 and tournament MVP Amy Briggs scored 11.
