EUMC returns to building after smoke damage

The members of the Eudora United Methodist Church will return to their building at 2084 N. 1300 Rd. with an open house at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, followed by a worship service at 10:30 a.m.
The building sustained heavy smoke damage as a result of a fire last November.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
