St. Paul UCC to have barbecue
July 2, 2009
St. Paul United Church of Christ, located on the corner of Church and Eighth streets, will have a barbecue after the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday.
Hamburgers will and drinks will be provided. Joe Pruitt will grill the hamburgers and Betty Naugle will make potato salad.
A free will offering also will be taken.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
