Local student honored

Eudora student Valerie Haag has been recognized by the United States Achievement Academy as an All-American Scholar.

The USAA has established the All-American Scholar Award program to offer recognition to students who excel in academics and earn at least a 3.3 GPA.

Furthermore, the academy recognizes students upon the recommendation of teachers, counselors and other qualified sponsors.

She was nominated by Eudora High School business instructor Angie Brown.

She is the daughter of Richard and Elisa Haag, Eudora. Her grandparents are Roberta and Delores Haag, Topeka, and Robert and Vanetta Woodward, Mound City.
