City Council approves construction payments

The Eudora City Council approved at a meeting Monday payments and change orders for the wastewater treatment plant.
The council approved a progress payment in the amount of $328,690.85 and a change order in the amount of $19,510.
Improvements on the plant have been ongoing since 2007 and the latest round likely will be finished in spring 2010.

As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
