Craft classes offered at Broers Flower Shop

Broers Flower Shop, 729 Main St., will have various crafts classes during the next week.

There will be a jewelry-making class from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday; and Kathy Brecheisen will teach gourd painting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Parties and groups are welcome.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?

As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
