Historical society holiday homes tour

The Eudora Historical Society will have a holiday homes tour from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 6. The tour will include the Pilla House, Salem Chapel and the Carl Gerstenberger house.

Punch, cookies and coffee also will be served at the historical society, which is on the north side of the Eudora Community Learning Center.

Tickets, which are $10 in advance or $12 the day of the tour, can be purchased at Kaw Valley Bank or by calling Glenn Wineinger at (785) 542-2210.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?

As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
