Kaw Valley Childcare Providers classes

The Kaw Valley Family Child Care Providers group invites all Child Care Providers to attend a two-hour inservice training by Marie Treichel from Lawrence ERC and entitled "Hidden Treasures of a Family Child Care Environment."
The inservice will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Eudora West Early Childhood and Family Center.
KVFCCP 2009 -2010 dues of $15 will cover the cost of the in-service. For more information, call Melanie Gabel at (785)690-7155.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
