Eudora Library Friends meeting

The Eudora Library Friends will be meeting at 6:30 p.m. Sept.14 at the Eudora Public Library, 14 E. Ninth St.
The group is always open to new members or anyone who is interested in promoting the library while connecting with others who have a love of books.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
