EHS volleyball blackout set

To show support for the Eudora High School volleyball program, all Eudora fans are encouraged to wear a blackout T-shirt during the home matches on Senior Night Sept. 22 against Ottawa High School. The games will begin at 5 p.m.

Order forms for the blackout T-shirts are available in the high school office, or from any EHS cheerleader. Short-sleeve shirts are $7 each and long-sleeved shirts are $10. For more information call Bryan Maring at 785-218-3900.

JV volleyball starts 3-0

The Eudora High junior varsity volleyball team got its season off to a good start by posting wins over Baldwin, Basehor-Linwood and Bonner Spring Sept. 1 at Eudora.

The Cardinals swept Baldwin (25-18, 25-21), beat Basehor-Linwood (25-23, 19-25, 15-7) and also beat Bonner Spring in three sets (Linwood (25-23, 19-25, 15-7). Next up for the Cardinals is a triangular at 5 p.m. Thursday at Perry-Lecompton.

JV cross country girls finish third

The Eudora junior varsity cross country teams got their seasons underway last week at Anderson County. The girls finished third overall.

Fernanda Garcia finished seventh, Amalie Thomsen finished 19th, Bria Carder 24th, McKenzie Oller 26th, Taylor Johnson 30th, and Hannah Pittman 38th. Colin Forsberg finished 25th and Keenan Wood finished 62nd for the boys. The boys did not place as a team.
