Eudora student Michael Whitten was named to Kansas University’s school of engineering dean's list for the fall 2009 semester. To be named to the list, students must achieve at least a 3.75 GPA and be enrolled in 14 credits.

• The following Eudora students were named to Pittsburg State University’s dead’s list for the fall 2009 smester:

Brittany Pittman, Brittany Graff, Julie White, Kara Pittman, Madison Dennis and Megan Ballock.

To be named to the list, students must achieve at least a 3.6 GPA and be enrolled in at least 12 credits.

• Matthew Abel, Eudora, was named a Dean’s Scholar at Northern Oklahoma College in Enid, Okla., for the fall 2009 semester.

The recognition of exemplary academic achievement and educational excellence is commensurate with the distinguished honor of being named to the Dean’s Honor Roll.

Abel is a sophomore at NOC-Enid and plays outfield for the Jets baseball team.

He is the son of Chris and Theresa Abel, Eudora.
