The ABCs of Sleep and Play, a free class for parents of infants, will be taught by Marie Triechel of the ERC from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 8 at Eudora West Early Childhood Family Center.
The class covers how to find high-quality child care, and how to provide a safe sleep and play environment for infants. Call (785) 542-4920 for more information.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
