Montgomery graduates from Rockhurst
In December, Guy Kirby Montgomery — a 2006 Eudora High School graduate, received bachelor’s degrees in economics and in non-profit leadership studies with a grade point average of 3.8 from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo.
At Rockhurst, he was awarded several scholarships and also internships at the Council on Philanthropy, Wagstaff and Cartmell law firm, Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, and Cerner Corporation.
Montgomery was president and social chair of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Student Activities Board member, Pre-Law Club secretary, Rockhurst University Public Relations Department cinematographer, and basketball and football intermural team member.
In Many 2009, he was awarded the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation Volunteer Service Award for 1,600 hours of volunteer
service. Montgomery is currently a MBA student in the Rockhurst Helzberg School of Management and has accepted a position with Cerner as a business consultant in the Vision Department.
