Eudora boys top De Soto 35-31

TONGANOXIE – Eudora High’s Justin Ballock scored 12 points and Drew Noble scored eight to help lead the Eudora boys to a 35-31 victory over De Soto in the third-place game Saturday at the Tonganoxie Invitational.
Eudora led 15-13 at the half, but De Soto (7-5) opened the third quarter on a 7-0 run to retake the lead. Eudora, though, answered that with an 8-0 run. With the Cardinals (7-4) clinging to a 32-31 lead with 6.2 seconds to play, Conner Scott swished two free throws to push the lead to three. And Justin Ballock added free throw with 4.8 seconds to play to secure the victory.
De Soto’s Brandan Philbrook led De Soto with 11 points and seven rebounds.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
