JV wrestlers shine at Ottawa
The Eudora junior varsity wrestling team competed against Spring Hill, Anderson County and Prairie View Thursday at Ottawa and had its best performance of the season.
Jessica Bowman, Dylan Litherland, Greg Snell, Daniel Brauda, Vince Alvarez, Alex Whitten and Lucas Becker all posted a 2-0 mark. The Cardinals will compete Saturday at Gardner.
EHS baseball fundraiser announced
The Eudora baseball team is having a fundraiser to raise money for the upcoming season. The team will be selling raffle tickets in the commons area at each home basketball game for the rest of the season.
Ticket prices for the raffle are $1 for one ticket or $5 for seven tickets. The drawing will take place during halftime of the boys game against Spring Hill on Feb. 25. Participants do not need to be present to win.
Top prize is a Kansas University basketball signed by current players and coaches. Other prizes donated from local merchants also will be awarded.

Point of View
What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?

Question of the week
A group organized for the purpose of promoting and supporting fatherhood by raising awareness of the value of fathers in Douglas County is being formed. It hasn’t been named. Which name would appeal most to you?
