Panthers sweep Cards

Justin Ballock scored 23 points and Drew Noble added 10, but the Eudora boys fell 49-47 to Paola Friday on the road.
Eudora led the whole way until Paola hit a three-pointer that tied the game late in the fourth quarter. Paola later scored the game-winner with five seconds to play.

Jennifer Bowser and Shea Lounsbury scored seven apiece for the girls, but the Cardinals fell 51-27.
Eudora trailed 11-8 at the end of the first quarter but a two-point second quarter put the Cardinals in a 20-10 hole at halftime, and Paola pulled away in the second half.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
