Physician files for seat on Eudora school board

Daniel Dickerson, a 46-year-old who lives at 1996 N. 1250 Road, filed earlier this week as a candidate for one of four seats up for election on the Eudora school board.
He is a family medicine physician with Eudora Family Care, a practice affiliated with Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Current occupants of those four seats up for election this year: Mark Chrislip, Kenneth Massey, Joseph Pyle and Belinda Rehmer.
The filing deadline is noon, Jan. 25.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
