Funeral services for Charlyne W. McDaniel, 90, Eudora, were Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel. Burial followed at De Soto Cemetery, De Soto.
Mrs. McDaniel died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at F.W. Huston Senior Living Center in Winchester.
She was born March 16, 1919, in Hannibal, Mo., the daughter of John and Hazel Moore Moffitt Walker.
Mrs. McDaniel was a homemaker.
She married J. L. McDaniel on Feb. 6, 1950, in Bentonville, Ark. He died Dec. 7, 1972.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Bonebrake, Eudora, Peggy
L. Bernath, Las Vegas, and Sandra S. Freeman, McLouth; six grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday before the service.
The family suggests memorials to F.W. Huston Senior Living Center, aka Jefferson County Memorial Geriatric Center, sent in care of the mortuary.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?

As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
