Herbert H. Thoren 1941 - 2008

Services for Herbert H. "Herb" Thoren, 67, Eudora, were Tuesday, April 15, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence.
Mr. Thoren died Friday, April 11, 2008, at his home.
He was born Feb. 10, 1941, in Lawrence, the son of Howard and Jane Hadl Thoren. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1959, the same year he received the State Farmer Award from the Future Farmers of America.
Mr. Thoren was a truck driver from Dunbar for 12 years and worked as a farmer and milked cows. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Teamsters Union.
He married Karon Corbin on May 1, 1964, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include his mother, of Eudora; one brother, Johnny Thoren, Eudora; two sisters, Laura Broers, Eudora, and Betty Thoren, Eudora.
The family suggests memorials to Neighbor Helping Neighbor through the Eudora United Methodist Church, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel, 1003 John L. Williams Drive, Eudora 66025.
