Harold F. Sisk 1917 - 2008

Memorial services for Harold F. Sisk, 90, Eudora, were Sunday, Jan. 6, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel.
Mr. Sisk died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at his home.
He was born April 11, 1917, in Diller, Neb., the son of Alfred and Cecil Carmichael Sisk. He graduated from Sparks High School. He lived in California, Hastings, Neb., and Palmer Lake, Colo. He then spent his winters in Harlingen, Texas, and summers in Ozawkie, Topeka and then Eudora.
Mr. Sisk worked on his family's farm in northeast Kansas while he attended school. He then became a bricklayer. He worked building B-24s and served in World War II.
He was a master bricklayer and a life member of the bricklayers union. He was a practicing Christian Scientist and an active member of the Eudora United Methodist Church.
Mr. Sisk married Eileen McDermott in 1939. She died in 1983 in Palmer Lake, Colo. He married Alma Walton Simpson on April 10, 1986. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Melinda Sisk, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sons, Greg Sisk, Malaga, Spain, Richard Sisk, Erie, Colo., and Glen Sisk, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a stepson, John Simpson, Troy; three brothers, Hank Sisk, Frankfort, Sonny Sisk, Manhattan, and Jerry Sisk, Denver; a sister, Faye Bramhall, Vermillion; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby May.
