Janice Madl 1916 - 2008

Mass of Christian Burial for Janice Lorene Stover Madl, 91, rural Baldwin City, was Monday, March 17, at Annunciation Catholic Church in Baldwin City. Burial was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Baldwin City.
Mrs. Madl died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at her home.
She was born May 31, 1916, in Wellsville, the daughter of Joseph Perry and May Dean Greer Stover. She grew up and attended schools in Baldwin City and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1934.
Mrs. Madl worked for the American Telephone Company in Baldwin City for seven years. She was also a homemaker and farmer's wife. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church and the Rebekah Lodge.
She married Arthur Francis Madl on Dec. 15, 1941, in Eudora. He died Dec. 18, 1987.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jay Perry Stover; and three great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Ted Stover Madl, and Jay Arthur Madl, both of Baldwin City; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
